cancer & coming out
The cancer diagnosis shook me - but what upset and terrified me more was the thought of dying having not been in love, not truly happy and not being the person who I truly was. Our founder Charlotte, shares how being diagnosed with incurable cancer, gave her the courage to come out. Read her story here
Today we're paying tribute to a very special woman and an almighty 'badass babe'! In 2018, Lucy Walton was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and sadly passed away on Saturday. Lucy supported our mission and was committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people, by raising awareness of this disease and the signs and symptoms and helping others to notice a change as early as possible. Lucy was a beacon of light for so many and started a meme filled blog 'so that the next time someone heard those heart-stopping words they don't feel alone' This blog was and will be a great source of comfort and information, you can read this here: https://lucyandthebigc.com/
During the month of March, Lymphoma Out Loud will be celebrating International Women’s Day and #WomensHistoryMonth by sharing women who are kicking cancer’s ass!
